Handlung

30er Jahre, Wirtschaftskrise in England: Um der Erwachsenenwelt zu entfliehen, geht der 12jährige, epilepsiekranke Tim in der Gegend um Yorkshire auf die Suche nach dem "Kingfisher", einem seltenen Vogel. Wegen seiner Anfälle will ihn Dr. Dobson in eine Anstalt einweisen. Tim's Leben wird aufregender, seitdem er sich in Win zu verlieben beginnt.

The 'Aura' is a warning that some epileptics get before they have an attack. This moving film is about the violent clash between the innocence of a young boy and the passions and complexities of the adult world around him. Set in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s it tells the story of Tim as he grows through shyness, pain and the loss of innocence.
