from Toba Kerson's note: "Beginning – The young woman is breathing deeply. She looks at the letter that is in the pocket of the dead air man. She’s obsessed with the dead pilot whom she has found and the letter in his pocket. 14:15 or so (without her father’s permission) she drives to the office of the doctor which is also the building near where the pilot lies. Dr.: “When was the last time . . .?” Anne: I have not fallen in 3 months. If seizures have a greater space between them, then it is a good indication. I don’t worry about it. It’s you and my father who worry. For me, it’s not even an infirmity. It’s a sort of gift. A am alive and then it’s as if I am suddenly dead and then alive again. When it happens it is at moments that are convenient to me. It suits men. It probably seems like madness to you. Dr:“In medicine, nothing seems mad to me. I am going to take you home” Anne: “I’ve got the car.” Dr: Your father lets you drive now? Anne: Of course. She takes the proffered pill. There is a terrific storm while she is at her aunt’s. Holds her head and coughs. 14:23: She has some kind of event – goes to her room –breathes heavily – reaches for her medicine in the bag – pulls out the letter of the dead pilot – the dates on the letter go backwards – she looks into the hyperventilating – there is some kind of insignia and has mental images of pyramids, next is a train with her aunt looking at the pyramids in Egypt – gift of seeing things, seeing people, takes big physical chances. She’s sleeping at end – her lover leaves her – next scene, she is in bed sleeping or unconscious. Father, aunt, and doctor are there – again you see a fantasy – doc is preparing a syringe – she dreams of hero of unchameau mort – she is in the car or a desert – a taxi – if they drive through solidest ar at XX – it is in English. She says things here. Stop. Goes to an airplane – all golden – golden music – pilot is alive – they kiss – everything disappears – comme mort"
